A spectacular 1020-seat venue built in the style of a 19th Century opera house, the Dale F. Halton Theater boasts a 2500 square foot stage with a sprung floor, a full fly house, an orchestra pit for 30 instrumentalists with a stage lift, and a custom-designed Wenger orchestra shell. Comfortable sloped seating, balcony and box seats provide perfect viewing from every seat.

Plenty of free parking is available off of E. 4th St. in CPCC Deck 4, which is the closest parking garage to the theater. Use 1225 E 4th St, Charlotte, NC 28204 in your GPS for directions to the parking deck. The deck is located behind the theater. The entrance to Halton Theater/Tate Hall is off of N Kings Dr. There is also a drop off area right in front of the theater, for those that need direct access.

If the Halton is a jewel, the new Barbara and Allen Tate Hall is a gem, boasting the sound of a much larger performance venue. This venue serves over 140 audience members or conference attendees.

Tate Hall is located in the Overcash Performing Arts Center, above the lobby of the Halton Theater. Enter the lobby for Halton Theater, and go to the right to the stair case. Tate Hall is at the top of the stair case.

This modern and elegant theater with capacity for 435 opened in the summer of 2022 in the Parr Center on CPCC Central Campus. Technically versatile, the stage is 25 feet across with 50 feet between the main curtain and back wall. The theater has true digital audio and lighting capabilities.

There is a surface parking lot near the Parr Center. You can access it via Pease Ln, off of Elizabeth Ave. If that lot is unavailable, there is plenty of free parking available off of E. 4th St. in CPCC Deck 4, which is the closest parking garage to the theater.
